What is Scar Removal?

Under normal conditions, scas in our body tend to heal significantly within 3-4 weeks. However, the wounds that have a delayed or non-healing tendency after 4-6 weeks are called chronic scars. Scars are closed with plastic surgery techniques, such as skin grafts (skin patches) and skin flaps (tissue transfer). Surgical treatment is generally not recommended for hypertrophic scar tissue, while surgical correction of the scars (scar removal or revision surgery) is frequently performed by plastic surgeons in order to reduce the scar in normal scar tissue.

What is Plastic Surgery?

Plastic surgery covers the reconstruction and reshaping of various structures on the body, the elimination of serious tissue losses and all kinds of aesthetic procedures. Cosmetic and aesthetic surgery are the most well-known parts of plastic surgery. In plastic surgery, there is a common misunderstanding that the word plastic means artificial. Rather the word comes from the ancient Greek word “plastikos” means molding or forming. Reconstructive plastic surgery is a treatment used to heal dysfunctional body parts. It is used primarily to restore function, although it can also change the individual's appearance. Cosmetic plastic surgery procedures, techniques and principles are entirely focused on improving the patient's appearance. Improving aesthetic appeal, symmetry and proportion are key goals.

Treatment In Estonia

Estonia is becoming increasingly popular as a destination for health tourism, thanks to its high-quality medical facilities, skilled medical professionals, and affordable prices.

One of the main areas of health tourism in Estonia is dental tourism. The country is home to a large number of highly qualified dentists, who offer a wide range of services at a fraction of the cost of similar treatments in Western Europe or North America. Many people travel to Estonia specifically for dental work, such as implants, crowns, or bridges.

Another popular area of health tourism in Estonia is plastic surgery. The country is home to a number of experienced plastic surgeons who offer a wide range of procedures, including breast augmentation, liposuction, and facelifts. Prices for these procedures are significantly lower than in other parts of Europe or North America, making Estonia an attractive destination for people looking for affordable plastic surgery.

Estonia is also home to a number of high-quality private hospitals and clinics, which offer a wide range of medical services, including cancer treatments, heart surgeries, and orthopedic procedures. These facilities are equipped with the latest technology and staffed by highly trained medical professionals.
