What is Polysomnography?

Polysomnography involves recording of all systems in the brain and body during normal sleep at night with the help of sensors placed on the head, face and all body parts. Although patients think that they cannot sleep due to the sensors placed on the head and body, this is a very rare situation. In sleep diseases other than insomnia, patients sleep as they are at home or much less affected by this.

What is Neurology?

Neurology is a branch of science that examines the structure, diseases and physiology of the nervous system. Generally, it examines the brain, brainstem, spinal cord and its surroundings. For example, it is necessary to consult a neurologist for problems such as seizures, confusion, sensory changes, headache, muscle and coordination problems or head trauma. For the diagnosis of neurological diseases, a very detailed history and physical examination are performed first. Imaging tests are performed when necessary. Some diseases and disorders that fall into the treatment areas of neurologists include stroke, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, MS (multiple sclerosis), ALS (amyotropic lateral sclerosis), epilepsy, migraine, tremors, sleep disorders, brain and spinal cord injury, peripheral nerve disease and brain tumors .
