Lasek is based on the principle of removing the epithelial tissue in the eye with the help of alcohol. After the laser is applied, it spreads back to the epithelium. In the Lasik method, the eye is anesthetized only with drops. Contact lenses are worn in order to recover the epithelium and protect the eye and it is removed under the supervision of the doctor 3-4 days after the operation.
