What is Breast Lift?

Breasts sag over time with the effect of gravity and the skin losing its elasticity due to age. Frequent weight loss, birth and breastfeeding and excessive breasts cause sagging to occur at an earlier age. During breast lift surgery, the patient is examined on an outpatient basis. The nipple location and the amount of mammary gland are measured. The patient's expectations are evaluated. If there is a slight sagging and the amount of mammary gland is acceptable, the breast gets fuller and upright with the silicone breast prosthesis placed under the mammary gland. If the sagging is too much and the amount of mammary gland is sufficient, it will recover similar to breast reduction techniques. If the sagging is excessive and the amount of mammary gland is insufficient, both the silicone prosthesis is placed on the breast and the breast recovery is performed.

What is Plastic Surgery?

Plastic surgery covers the reconstruction and reshaping of various structures on the body, the elimination of serious tissue losses and all kinds of aesthetic procedures. Cosmetic and aesthetic surgery are the most well-known parts of plastic surgery. In plastic surgery, there is a common misunderstanding that the word plastic means artificial. Rather the word comes from the ancient Greek word “plastikos” means molding or forming. Reconstructive plastic surgery is a treatment used to heal dysfunctional body parts. It is used primarily to restore function, although it can also change the individual's appearance. Cosmetic plastic surgery procedures, techniques and principles are entirely focused on improving the patient's appearance. Improving aesthetic appeal, symmetry and proportion are key goals.
