What is Liver Cancer?

Liver tumors that develop in patients with Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C or cirrhosis usually do not show symptoms in the early period. For this reason, it is recommended that people with Hepatitis viruses in their blood have regular health checks. Liver tissue is followed by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. When a new mass emerges, re-surgical intervention or one of the local treatments is planned. Liver transplant patients, on the other hand, are closely monitored for the possibility of recurrence. The treatment of liver tumors is surgical removal of the tumor mass. Surgery is preferred in patients whose liver functions are sufficient and the mass can be removed. However, there are situations where liver transplantation is required.

Radiation oncology is a medical science that studies the effects of treatment procedures using radiotherapy on cancer cells. Cancer surgeries are often performed by oncological surgeons with advanced expertise in the surgery of the respective cancer.
